CAHL Director
The CAHL Director serves as the primary liaison between the High Country Minor Hockey Association (HCMHA) and the Central Alberta Hockey League (CAHL). Responsibilities include:
Meeting Attendance: Attend CAHL meetings in Strathmore from October to April, typically on a monthly basis.
Liaison Role: Act as the main point of contact between HCMHA and CAHL.
Disciplinary Oversight: Manage and address any CAHL suspensions issued to HCMHA members.
Reporting: Provide timely updates to the HCMHA Executive on discussions and decisions from CAHL meetings.
Tiering Coordination: Consult with coaches regarding team tiering, and represent those recommendations at the CAHL tiering meeting in November.
By-Law Communication: Ensure all HCMHA coaches and managers are aware of and adhere to CAHL by-laws and regulations.
Player Movement Management: Communicate with CAHL regarding player movements, overage player applications, and affiliations.
Term of Office: Serves a 2-year term, with the position becoming available in odd-numbered years.
